You may ask, "Why is she so passionate about running for this office?" When my supporters asked - no, they insisted - I run this race, my family and I knew it was the right thing to do.

I'm running for Florida House of Representatives District 31...

• Because Florida is on the wrong track.

• Because our children's future is at risk.

• To use the power of the office to help people help one another.

I'm running for Florida House of Representatives District 31 because a budget is a moral document. How you spend your money says a lot about what you believe. I want to ensure that your tax dollars are invested wisely and we are taxed equitably.

My campaign for Florida House is about supporting a vision for Florida that celebrates our diversity. A vision where people are empowered to find innovative solutions to the complex questions facing us.

Everyone deserves someone who will represent their interests in Tallahassee. During the last 11 years I've spent working on issues in Tallahassee, it has been my mission to help people find their voice and that is a record of which I am proud.

Running for office may not be for everyone; but everyone deserves a representative willing to fight for them. I will be that representative.
